Happy New Year

2014 has passed...and how do you feel? For me, new years is always such blaaaaa. In town it is full of drunks ( I've been one ;) ) and the same old cheesy music which I HATE! so this year, like last, was nice again to be cosy at home with close friends and yummy food, minus the alcohol of course! A few sips of champagne of course at 12.00 though...

Fine Mateus

O awaiting the arrival of his partners in crime, like a child!

And what better way to start off the evening than to find out that we needed another 'glass of champagne' to start off the night. Dear Carl went around the room counting the people, including bubba Beket in my belly, and instead of counting 7, he counts 8, but nobody picks up on the joke haha!! So he goes again, counting, 7, then 8 on Chanti's belly! Another BABY!!! Was soooo nice and tearful and screaming and fun!! Due in August, and so nice for 2 best friends to be dads in the same period in their life. Dread to think what they will be like when they hit 18, if they are anything like their fathers!!!

So our cosy night was spent of course with lots of girl chat and catch ups, followed by crazy Dutch street fireworks and cigars under the 'watchful' eye of 4 tipsy pilots with such funny dry humour! Was so fun! I lasted until 2.40...

Carl always making humour, this time with the perfect photo opportunity behind a chandelier!

Peter and Linda, another happy couple who wed in May!

2 pregnant ladies, but many months apart!

Jonathan clearly enjoying his Moet

Super tired but worth it, as well as a little visit in the morning from dear friends from our time in Italy who have family here in Holland.

Now, a cosy night in front of netflix...nap no.2 imminent...
