Nearly a month has now passed since we sold the Eames chairs, and still I can not make a decision...
A genuine Y- chair was purchased
Beautiful
Followed by a fake
Beautiful, almost a winner! Almost no visible difference...
But...slightly lower seating height, and the mind games. CHEAT!
So, back to the drawing board. Here we sit with one real black, one fake (which will probably reside in the bedroom) and not much else ( 2 Eames never sold so we keep them for kids rooms)
Beech Wishbone can be purchased from the UK at an OK ish price. Fakes are fine, I was almost sold! But in the future, how would you ever re-sell them again if you got bored.
Have also been viewing quite a few auctions. So there are options. We will probably, hopefully go down the beech route, and keep the black for the living room. Such a beauty, but the painted versions of these chairs are much more expensive so to buy a full set would be quite difficult.
First world problems, eh?
